Amazon Affiliate Disclosure

FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules

The Federal Trade Commission released new rules for Disclosure Compliance in 2015.

These rules ensure that you, the visitor and reader of web media, are aware if the webmaster or blogger is partnered with, endorsed or sponsored by a company.  Basically, you need to know if the blogger or website owner is deriving an income by sharing product recommendations or links.

To make sure I am comply to the FTC guidelines please note the following about posts and links on dirtymartinis.net:

Any/all links on dirtymartinis.net are affiliate links and derive a small benefit from purchases.  This is at no extra cost to you.

What Are Affiliate Links?

These purchases are made on third party, external company sites.  So if you click on an affiliate link on dirtymartinis.net to purchase an item, and buy something from the seller, you are not buying from Dirty Martinis.

Dirty Martinis gets a small commission as compensation for helping folks fine their sites and products.

The prices are exactly the same, whether you purchase through an affiliate link or not.  So buying through an affiliate link does not affect the price of the product.

Dirty Martinis is a participant in two sorts of affiliate programs:

1. Amazon Affiliate Program.

DirtyMartinis.net is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking DirtyMartinis.net reviews to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, amazon.com, endless.com, myhabit.com, smallparts.com, or amazonwireless.com.

2. Other Affiliate Programs.

DirtyMartinis.net also participates in other affiliate programs from time to time.  If you buy a product through one of those affiliate links the site gets a small benefit, either in advertising revenue or some other form of compensation.

In either of the situations, there is no extra charge for you.  so you won’t pay more if you buy through one of my links.

What is Sponsored Content?

Sponsored content is when a company gives a free product or direct payment to the blogger for a post.  I don’t write posts for sponsored products.  In other words, I don’t accept direct payment or free products from a company to write a post.  The reason for this is because I only share unbiased information and my genuine opinion.

Ultimately, I only recommend products I would use myself and be happy for those close to me to use as well.

Any purchase you make through Dirty Martinis, supports my efforts to research the best products and curate all the information you need in one place.

Thanks for visiting and for your support! 🙂
